Our newest product: Xpulse, is a highly maneuverable, low-center-of-gravity, line-following robot.

This advanced line following robot can adapt to long line following courses, capable of traversing both black surface, white lines and white surface, black lines (Designed for 15 to 25mm width line follower tracks).

With Microstart module and Sony remote you can start and stop the robot remotely. With this simple but important feature, you can easily stop the robot if it goes off the track, and you can also start it without bending down or pressing any buttons.

How it works?

The robot's operating system primarily uses an line sensor board (Xline) with 15+1 sensors to control our main controller board (XMotion). Based on the line information from the sensor array, the Xmotion controller controls the motors with different speeds at PD control (Proportional + Derrivative Control).

This robot has features to solve the common problem of slipping in line following robots. These include:

1. A high powered fan that creates a virtual load to increase ground grip.

2. A smooth and long wheel (JS2042) that improves maneuverability and exhibits low inertia.

Why 15+1 Sensors?

The Xline sensor board we use in this robot has 15 line sensors arranged in a V configuration, plus an additional set of line sensors in the bottom row.

In this way, sensors 7 and 16 are in the same row, allowing the robot to be detected as being perfectly perpendicular to the line. In the code, we apply an additional speed boost when both sensors detect the line.
